Slajerek & Sanczo Zapiekanka
THE TRAIN

Backing of this track was composed by Slajerek sometime in 2008 as an attempt to create a track in Renoise. It was called The Train.

While playing Witcher 1 game, in one of the first scenes there's a ghost kid that says "This world will be destroyed and will stop existing", and in that very moment a graphics card blew up the motherboard, and a hard disk. Only one mp3 of this track survived, luckily that was sent to an email box a day before.

Years later, it was announced that Xenium 2023 will have a topic of trains and that seemed a perfect match to finally release this track. Sanczo Zapiekanka joined and created a cosmically sounding break. In the meantime, Slajerek rewrote all notes in Renoise from scratch, but again it was lost due to a human error around 4am by mistake when the backup was overwritten.

It is obvious that this track definitely did not want to be rewritten. Thus what you hear is that original backing mp3 track transposed and slowed down, also extended with a new solo, a few instruments, and a cool break by Sanczo Zapiekanka.

Big thanks to XTD for his motivating discussions about solo parts, you're awesome!
Huge thanks to Dariusz Boćwiński DB Sound and Marek Kwiecień NOXEMA for the mastering!
And yet very best thanks to Jetan/Samar for the AI graphics!

The Train was created using Renoise, Studio One, and FL Studio.
