I decided to write this text because some people have a wrong
view on the scene, especialy those lame shareware systems boards.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 -1- The Scene
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The scene is all pcboards put toghetter, where people trade in :

   hpcav ( hacking/phreaking/cracking/anarchy/virus )
coding stuff ( pascal and assembler sources ... )
   music ( mod, hsc, s3m )
art ( manga, vga, ansi, ascii, ... )
warez ( cracked and ripped software )

   There is also a difference to be made between warez, coding, hpcav boards;
on coding and hpcav boards you will not find warez (or not on most coding
and hpcav boards) on trade boards you will usualy find everything, warez
boards usualy contain ripped soft younger than 15 days, at least on the
average warez boards, the coolest contain 3 to 1 day old stuff.

You will also find scene 'groups',but they will be explained later.
In the scene you will notice that everyone knows each other ( at least
the people in scene groups ... ). Therefore it is difficult to get in
the scene if you don't know anyone in it ...
There aren't as many scene boards as there are sharewareboards, i even
think that for every 20 shareware boards you have 1 sceneboard.
Some people sometimes fear that the scene will eventualy dissapear,
i think not however, as long as there are cool people (like the entire
'prozac' crew, the 'dark side of the force international' crew, ect ... ).
The scene is a cool place to be, believe me. =)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 -2- Rules
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are a lot of rules that should be respected in the scene, i will
   mention the most important ones.

   1) YOU WILL NEVER COPY RELEASES AND PUT YOUR NAME UNDER THEM!!!
       -Only lamers do that ...

   2) YOU WILL UPLOAD AT LEAST AS MUCH AS YOU DOWNLOAD (VERY IMPORTANT)
       -This is called 'trading'.

   3) YOU WILL NOT MIND ANYONE ELSE'S BUISNESS ...
-This keeps you out of trouble

   4) YOU WILL NOT JUST COPY ANSIS FOR YOUR BOARD
-Just ask a cool artist for your ansis

   5) YOU WILL NOT TAKE ANOTHER BOARD'S NAME ...
       -LAME!!!!!!!

   6) YOUR ALIAS MAY NOT BE RIPPED FROM SOME OTHER GUY ...
-This is not very fun for the other guy, and
in time not for you either (LaMeR KiCKouT!!!).

   7) FIRST TIME ON A BOARD = UPLOAD TIME
-On your first visit to a specific board you must
upload after the nuv (new user voting).
downloading the first time is pretty lame ...
        even for small stuff.

If you respect these rules you will not get in trouble on ANY board
or with ANY sysop. (BTW:Don't shoot me if i missed a rule ... =) )

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 -3- Scene Groups
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A group is a number of people trying to produce cool stuff ( releases
like -> texts, programs, ppe, music, warez, demos, ect... ).
Like me, for example, writting this text for Prozac...
There is of course a difference (once again) between these groups,
you have : Coding groups, hpcav (text) groups, do it all groups (just
look at the name ... hehe), warez groups, trade groups, ppe coders, ...
The boss of a group is called a president, assisted by the vicepresident.
then you also have, coders, artists, writers, musical artists ...
The board of the president is usualy the 'World Headquarter' ...
The board of the vicepresident(s) doesn't nescesarely have to be the
ehq (european hq), it can be anything except distboard or memberboard
( is no hq, but, ... you know LOOK at the name, hehe). A distboard is
a board that contains some group releases, availeble for traders, ect...
You also have a Coding hq, Art Hq, Staff hq, Courier hq, innet hq, text hq
... So, it's pretty cool don't you think ? Active members are members
that regularely make releases, inactive ones, well, you can guess...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-4- What kind of people are in the scene?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Normal people, especialy students with a normal pc with a modem ...
Programmers, yep, artists, just your regular cool guys, okay, on their
boards they are gods, also on top of there groups, but hey, they are
   normal people too (however ... hehe ... =) ).
So, anyone who can code, draw, make music, can be in the scene.
People who CAN pay a huge phonebill are very welcome as traders too :-)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 -5- Bob, bsa, BUSTS!!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 - Bob = belgische opsporings dienst (like the fbi or something, hehe, but in
  little belgium ...)
 - Bsa = belgian software association

Bob usualy busts people who have hpcav, altough it doesn't happen alot.
Bsa busts the warez-cd makers ... usualy there boards too :-(
It realy isn't clear who they won't actualy, sometimes they bust lame
shareware boards, and other times they bust warez boards and give 'em
back in like, 2 days or something, nobody REALY knows what they
   won't EXACTELY, Warez-cd's : yes, warez-boardz : not always ..., hpcav
boards, sometimes, IN OTHER WORDS : WHAT THE F**K TO THEY WAN'T ??????
   I don't know, ...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
