Some notes on Cack 2:

Yes, it is in QuickBasic. More specifically, QBX aka Basic PDS 7.1. See
the endscroller for the tools used.

Yes, the intro part is supposed to be bug-ridden. That's just the way Basehead
     made it, bitch at him.

Yes, the demo only supports GUS. I could get BWSB working with the demo, so
I had to toss in CapaMod TSR at the last minute. Soonafter the demo's
release, I realized the stupid coding mistake I made - the sound code is
fixed in Restless issue 2, for example.

No, the demo is not supposed to end at the DC5-dude/star-zoomer part. If it
does, you need to free up more base RAM. I know, the diz says 570k, but
I was being optimistic there, you really need 590-600k. Hey, the demo
uses NO extended memory! (again, something I did later for Restless).
Running "cack2 warp2" may help (starts at credits part, no music).

Yes, the demo will run just fine on a P2-450 - thanks to the magic of milli-
second timing. Of course, soundcard/memory restrictions above still apply.

Yes, the demo will run on a 386-40! But, this is Basic, we're talking slug-
speed here. Most of the parts will run with correct timing, just slower
     (5-10 FPS).

Yes, the demo will still run if you don't have a GUS. It's not synched to
     the music.

No, the demo was not shown at The Party. I trusted it upon Axl and Diablo.
They both forgot to enter it - Axl was drunk/confused, and I don't think
Diablo was aware of my intention to compete with it. Next time, I'll
just DCC it to whoever I know is on IRC :).
