     Simply move left and right to scroll through the character bar.


                         CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN TRICKS

     COLOR CHANGE : Press UP or DOWN on the controller before choosing your  
                    player.
     STAGE SELECT : After choosing your player, quickly press up or down and
                    a certain button (each stage has it's own combination),
                    and you will begin on that level.  This only works if
                    you are the FIRST person to choose your character.
     MUSIC SELECT : After the other player has chosen the level, you can press
                    UP or DOWN and a button to choose which music plays on
                    your match.
     RANDOM SELECT: By Pressing Up and Start, the computer will randomly pick
                    which character it wants you to be.

_/                              K.I. TERMINOLOGY                              _/

     Regular Moves: Basic Punches and Kicks....they are kinda fast, but don't
                    do as much damage as combos, special moves, or others.
     Special Moves: A move unique for the character performing it, that can
                    be performed at ANY time during the fight.  They cause
                    quite a bit more damage than the regular moves, but they
                    require a specific button/joystick combination to execute.
     Transition Moves: Special moves which begin, then halfway through, switch
                    to another special move....
     Basic Combos:  Combos are several moves strung together which are
                    unblockable after the first hit (except for combo breakers
                    discussed later).  After the performance of a combo, the
                    computer voice will let ya know what type of combo it was
                    by announcing it, and flashing it up on the screen.

                            COMBOS AND NUMBER OF HITS

     Triple - 3
     Super - 4
     Hyper - 5
     Brutal - 6
     Master - 7
     Awesome - 8
     Blaster - 9
     Monster - 10
     King - 11
     Killer - 12+
     Ultra Combo :  A special combo that can be activated by a certain button -
                    controller combination at the end of a 3 hit+ combo.  This
                    can ONLY be done when the opponent's second energy bar is
                    flashing red.  This hits the opponent 18 more times.
     Ultimate Combo: A special combo that can be activated by a certain button
                    controller combination at the end of a 3 hit+ combo.  This
                    can ONLY be done when the opponent's 2nd energy bar is 
                    flashing red.  Thit does the Ultra Combo with a No Mercy
                    at the end.
     Combo Breaker: Move that will stop an opponent's combo.  This must be
                    done BETWEEN hits in the combo, and it requires no charging.
     Flashing Energy: When your energy bar is flashing, your character will 
                    posess special powers.  Doing a combo breaker is one way
                    to start the bar flashing.  Some characters only need to
                    do a special move to start it flashing (Sabrewulf's howl,
                    and Spinal's Energy Shield Absorbtion are examples).  There
                    will be a flashing arrow on the end of your energy bar.
     Air Juggle :   After you perform a combo that kicks your opponents butt
                    HIGH into the air, you can do a special move to hit them
                    on their way back down to earth.  All other moves will miss
                    and go right through them.
     Double/Triple Air Juggle: Some characters have the abiliy to perform an
                    air juggle 2 or 3 times when the energy bar is flashing.
     Shadow Moves : These can only be performed when the energy bar is flashing.
                    They look just like the normal moves, except they move much
                    faster and/or do more damage.  Dont do it to many times, or
                    the bar will stop flashing.  Likewise, some are ONLY done
                    in combos.
     No Mercy :     After beating your opponent for the second time in a fight,
                    the screen will go red, and you have the ability to do a
                    No Mercy (otherwise known as a FATALITY).  A No Mercy will
                    have a different outcome against different people.
     Humiliation :  If you whoop the opponent 2 times and are still on your
                    first energy bar when the screen dims red, do this, and it
                    will cause your opponent to be humiliated by dancing around
                    to some "cool" music ;)
     Last Breath :  After being beaten the 2nd time, the screen will go red,
                    and you will double over dizzy.  Swirl the joystick and
                    press buttons rapidly to "speed up" the dizzyness.  If you
                    do it enuff without being hit or No Mercied, or Humiliated,
                    you will come back to life and fight again, with JUST enuff
                    energy to die if hit or if blocking a move.
     Awesome Victory: After defeating the opponent 2 times and then doing a 
                    humiliation or no mercy, you will receive an Awesome Victory
                    an get to see an animated sequence (not on the SNES version).
     Supreme Victory: If you defeat your opponent while still in the first life
                    bar, you will get Supreme Victory and an animation (again,
                    not in the SNES version).  The announcer will also say 
                    "PERFECT", like MK's Flawless Victory, for more points, if
                    you were untouched throuought the match.

     On most stages, there is a special move to perform to knock your opponent
off the stage into some peril.  They are listed here.

STAGE : Ice Temple

DESCRIPTION :  This is a frozen stage that has a big temple in the back
               being held up by 2 huge statues.

DESCRIPTION :  This is a hidden level, just endless caves to get lost in 
               while fighting.  It's only accessable through the stage select
               code <unfortunatley i dont know it>.

STAGE : Ice Sculpture

DESCRIPTION :  This is another Glacius stage.  Has a small bridge that you 
               fight on.

STAGE : Castle Roof

DESCRIPTION :  This has a transylvania feel to it.  With bats and lightning
               and all, it's cool.  The opponent CAN get knocked off into
               lava i believe?

DESCRIPTION :  This is my favorite level.  It has a billboard on the left of
               a scaled down fight, and the right is an add for the Ultra 64!
               If you knock the opponent off the left of the building, they
               land on a bridge.  If you knock them off the right, they just
               fall and go boom.  BUT if you knock them off the right of the
               building using the special KO move, they will land on the top
               of the pink car used in Orchids other stage.

_/                              CHEATS AND TRICKS                              _/

TURBO MODE :
     In a 2 player game, it is somehow possible to activate a code between
     the character selection and game start.  I dont know how though.  It 
     greatly speeds up the first round.

HIGH SCORES TABLE :
     During the demo, press UP to see high scores tables and more..

COMBO BREAKER :
     Pressing DOWN+START on both controllers during the VS screen will make
the computer say COMBO BREAKER, which allows the computer to do shadow moves
with out doing a combo breaker.  This also works in the SNES version by setting
EASY COMBO BREAKERS : ON.  This makes it easier for you to do it, and the
computer will break yours more often too...

MINI FULGORE : 
     When playing on the desert roof, get opponent into the corner, and perform
this combo : B, F+6, B+5, B, D, B+4.  When he appears on the other side of his
opponent he'll be 1/2 the size.

STICKY SITUATION:
     Play Glacius VS Glacius on a Rooftop Stage.  Get in the corner, and have
both glacius's do teleports OVER and OVER again.  Eventually they will appear
at the same place and will be stuck together.

GLACIUS's ULTIMATE PROBLEM:
     Play as glacius.  Perform the ULTIMATE COMBO! when you score a 6 or more 
hit combo.  THen after the Ultimate, just before they are engulfed by the puddle,
they bounce away.  They dont die, but you still get an ULTIMATE!

FROG NO MERCY GLITCH:
     Play as Orchid.  Do the No Mercy (Frog), then press up and hit any
attach button rapidly, she'll leap up and stomp it, but the opponent will 
morph back, but be all green and distorted.  You can then do an ultra combo,
press 6 to disappear + reappear, or knock them off a roof <if on a roof>.

SPINAL MORPH SCREW-UP:
     Play as spinal.  You can use special morph commands against certain
enemies.  You will STAY gray-morphed as them, and will stay like that, being
able to do all moves, fatalities, etc.. untill you are hit.

JAGO : D, D+4, U
CHIEF THUNDER : D, D+1, U
SPINAL : D, D+?, U

FIREBIRD WHERE??:
     Use Chief Thunder and do the Firebird Throw.  Then quickly press BACK!
He will throw his hand out, but nothing will come out.
