Quick Docs for Alien Earth
--------------------------

At the main menu, press New to start a new game, or Load to load a game
that you have previously saved. Note that you can only save the game in
particular places thoughout the game, such as Jack's Treehouse.

Once in the game, you will notice two status windows in the top left of
the screen. The top one shows which weapon you are currently using and
the amount of ammunition available for it, if applicable. The bottom one
shows your current health (in both graphical, and numerical format).
You can move these windows to any location on the screen simply by clicking
and dragging them to the desired location.

You can use the arrows keys to move around, or - and + to climb up/climb
down, or right-click the mouse on Finn to pull up the Action menu.

The Action menu is divided into 4 sections, represented by the icons on
the top of the menu. They are, from left to right: Items, Weapons, Psionics
and Control. You can close the Action menu at any time by clicking on the
arrow on the bottom right hand corner of the menu.

The Items menu shows all the items you currently are carrying. You can USE
an item by highlighting the item you wish to use, then clicking the USE
button, or you can combine two items to form a new item using the ADD TO
button. Simply highlight an item, click ADD TO, then click the item you wish
to combine it with. If a combination is possible, the combined item will
be created, otherwise the game will "buzz" you.

The Weapons menu shows all of the weapons you currently have available.
You can click on a weapon to select it, and it will appear in your Weapon
status window to show that you are wielding it.

The Psionics menu shows all of the spells you currently know.

The Control menu allows you to pull up in-game HELP (showing the various
keyboard shortcuts in the game), QUIT the game, LOAD a saved game, start
a NEW game, or configure SOUND OPTIONS.

You can interact with various items and creatures in the game. To see if you
can interact with them, hold your mouse over the item. If the cursor changes
to a different shape, you can interact with it. Right-click on the item or
creature to view the various interaction options (Get, Examine, Talk etc.),
then right click on action you wish to take.

To attack a creature in the game, first select a weapon if you haven't
already (see above), then appoach the creature you wish to attack until
you are within the range of the weapon. For hand-to-hand combat (such as
with a halberd), you will have to be quite close to the creature to attack
it; for ranged attacks (such as with a rock), you can attack from a
distance. Move your cursor over the creature, and it will change to an
attack cursor, which displays the target creature's health in a curve along
the top of it. Click on the creature to attack it. After you kill the
creature (assuming you survive), you can "interact" with the corpse and
SEARCH it for items.

That's it! You should be able to figure the rest of the game out by simply
playing it...Enjoy!
